When visiting Bath with the kids, you might be concerned that there will not be enough for them to do there, but this is a misconception. Bath is a very family-friendly city, and there are plenty of activities to suit visitors of all ages.
The Victoria Falls Adventure Golf is a great place to take the kids if you want to keep them busy all day. This is an 18-hole golf course, and you can find it right in the heart of the city where the Royal Crescent is part of the background. The whole family will enjoy a day out here, but if this is not to your taste, then you can always go to the trampoline park at the city’s leisure centre, or go tenpin bowling.
Royal Victoria Park is also a good family day out. You can have a picnic here, and the kids will love the play area. The Bath Skyline trail is a 6-mile walking trail around the outside of the cit,y but there is a family-friendly section with a play area where the kids can let off a little steam.
Kids will also enjoy seeing some of the city’s history at close quarters. A trip to the Roman Baths is a good idea, as they can learn more about the Roman occupation of the area. The interactive exhibits and the CGI reconstructions will bring it all to life for them, and give them a really good insight into what life was like in the city at that time.
There are also plenty of museums and galleries that kids might want to visit, but the city has a great theatre as well, so if you plan your trip in advance, you can book tickets for a show, and have a great evening out, enjoying a good meal at one of the city’s fine restaurants before you go.
